Read this before choosing a school
Three checks matter more than the school name
1. Confirm the exact campus and DLI number
Institutions can have multiple campuses. Match the campus and DLI information to the letter of acceptance and your intended study location.
2. Check the exact program for PGWP
Being listed as a DLI does not make every program PGWP eligible. Check the program-level details and all other PGWP rules.
3. Check field-of-study rules if they apply
Some non-degree programs must be in an eligible CIP field. Bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral graduates are treated differently under the current rules.
4. Check PAL/TAL and provincial requirements
Federal PAL/TAL exemptions do not remove every document requirement. Quebec and provinces can have additional steps.
Important: This finder is an information tool, not a PGWP approval checker. School designation, program eligibility, study permit compliance, language rules, field of study and other PGWP criteria can all matter.
