The new Labour Market Integration factor may award points for either eligible Canadian work experience or a qualifying job offer in a listed high-wage occupation.

Rules take effect November 3, 2026
One route is usedIRCC compares eligible Canadian work experience with a qualifying job offer and uses the option producing the higher score. The two are not combined.
Occupation wage level mattersThe category is based on the Canada-wide median wage for the NOC—not necessarily the individual employee's own salary.
An LMIA is not the points testBeginning November 3, an LMIA is not required for a qualifying job offer to receive these Express Entry points. The offer must still be genuine and meet IRCC requirements.

Before relying on this list

Confirm that your NOC code reflects your principal job duties—not only your job title.
High-wage Canadian experience points generally require at least 12 months of qualifying experience.
A qualifying job offer must satisfy the applicable Express Entry rules and will be assessed for genuineness.
Additional points improve ranking, but an ITA still depends on the invitation round and CRS cut-off.

Not sure which NOC matches your work?

Sia Immigration can review your duties, Canadian work experience and job-offer information to help you understand how the new rules may affect your Express Entry profile.
