BC PNP — CARE & BUILD SCORES ARE DROPPING!

Ever since BC PNP started issuing targeted Care & Build invitations again in 2026, we have seen the scores trending downward.

In fact, scores have already come down by as much as 24 POINTS since May!

In recent draws, invitations have been issued at:

CONSTRUCTION — as low as 88 POINTS

This includes priority occupations such as Carpenters, Electricians, Plumbers, Welders, HVAC Mechanics, Heavy-Duty Mechanics and more.

HEALTH CARE — as low as 84 POINTS

This includes Registered Nurses, LPNs, Physicians, Pharmacists, Physiotherapists, Medical Technologists and other eligible priority health care occupations.

CHILDCARE — as low as 102 POINTS

For Early Childhood Educators (ECEs).

While future scores can never be predicted or guaranteed, there is a possibility that scores may decrease further.

If you are working in one of these priority occupations, or you have an eligible job offer from a B.C. employer in one of these occupations, consider getting your profile into the BC PNP pool if you qualify.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

For the BC PNP Skilled Worker stream, your qualifying work experience does not necessarily have to be in the same occupation as your B.C. job offer.

Your skilled work experience may be:

• In a different skilled occupation

• From another province in Canada

• From outside Canada

Therefore, even if you recently moved into a Construction, Health Care or Childcare occupation in B.C., you may still have qualifying previous experience.
