The long-awaited decisions on the famous Parents & Grandparents programs are announced by the IRCC. Canada has always been a staunch supporter of family reunification and immigration, and in a similar vein, a new announcement has been made.
In a recent policy shift and significant breakthrough in family immigration, IRCC is reopening the Parents & Grandparents Program (PGP) and will issue 17,860 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) starting July 28, 2025, over about two weeks. Moreover, it has also announced that it will accept up to 10,000 complete sponsorship applications under the Parents and Grandparents program in 2025.
Open your inboxes as the IRCC is rolling out the invitations from July 28, 2025. If you had previously applied for the PGP sponsorship in 2020, you are strongly advised to keep a check on your inbox for potential emails from IRCC.
