Liard Rural Community Immigration Pilot (RCIP)
The Peace Liard RCIP is an employer-driven immigration program that allows designated employers in Northeast BC to hire skilled international workers and support their permanent residency in Canada. The program serves the long-term economic and community growth of smaller towns in the Peace Liard region.

Employer Requirements
Must be located within the Peace?Liard region.
Operate in one of the priority sectors.
Must apply for and receive community designation.
May recommend up to 3 candidates per year (≤?65 employees) or 6 candidates (≥?66 employees).
Must offer full-time, permanent positions in priority occupations.
Candidate Requirements
Full-time, permanent job offer from a designated employer in a listed occupation.
At least 1 year (1,560 hours) of work experience in the past 3 years (some exceptions for recent local graduates).
Language test results that meet the minimum Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) for the job offered.
Educational credential (Canadian or ECA-verified foreign education).
Proof of settlement funds (unless already working in Canada).
Commitment to live and work in the Peace?Liard region.
Application Process
1. Employer becomes a designated participant in the RCIP.
2. Employer provides a qualifying job offer in a priority occupation.
3. Candidate is nominated through the community recommendation process.
4. Candidate submits a permanent residence application to IRCC.
5. Candidate may apply for a 2-year work permit during PR processing.
